There are a number of projects within the scope of this remodeling job. Overall, the general scope of the work will be to replace the old counter tops, light fixtures in the kitchen and breakfast room, add lighting under the cabinets, secure the old floor and add new linoleum flooring, replace the oven, range top, and vent hood with a microwave vent hood. We will be addressing each one in such a way that you can see how to apply a particular phase to another situation that you may personally have. When possible, I'll give you an overall picture before and after before we start the project. I know it's easier for some to see where we are going to go. Some projects you'll be able to read it, and then just do it. Others will require a little more study, but each of them I'll list the tools and materials required to complete the task. Just take them step by step and be patient. Anyway, here's a before and after of this project. Please note that at anytime you may click on a picture and see it enlarged. You may also click on the title to a post and bring up all the comments for that post. I urge you to make comments on what I've written or ask questions if there is something that is not clear to you. After all, my goal is to make this easy for you to do, because you can do it, really.
So enjoy the remodeling, it should be fun for you but sometimes you may need to remind yourself that this was something you wanted to do. I know how to do all of this, almost in my sleep as I think I've done before, so if you can't follow easily or need something to make it more enjoyable, I need to know.
